Nina has almost 20 years experience in closing multi-million-dollar deals, developing new businesses and turning challenges into successes. Nina’s entrepreneurial career began in 1997 when she launched Summit Metals Recovery Corp to capitalize on the growing PC recycling industry. It was the first (and became the largest) exporter of PBC scrap worldwide within its first year. In 2008, after a global search, Scholz AG, the second largest metal and steel recycling company in the world, selected Nina as CEO and founder of the company’s first international trading group. She personally grew the company to over $96 MM in revenue during an economic crisis, exceeding projections by 700% and garnering industry accolades. While managing the firm’s NY, NJ and HK offices she created new markets throughout the Pacific Rim, Latin America and the UAE. Under her leadership, Scholz International became one of the most active and successful trading firms in the industry, and Nina became one of the most prominent copper traders in the world.
She excels at bringing buyers and sellers together. Most recently, Nina founded GT Capital to leverage the growing wave of Chinese investors in US real estate. At Vicus, she’ll focus on developing the Chinese commercial real estate market and bringing Wall Street and Hedge Funds in as clients.
Nina is a graduate of Oberlin College and earned a Masters in social work from Fordham University. She is a licensed MSW. Nina has taught business English at the Universita' di Pisa in Italy and speaks 6 languages. She calls Manhattan home.
